Mr. Speaker:

Your TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 318

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 21, strike "2000" and insert in lieu thereof "2001".

2. On page 1, line 22, after "equal to" strike the remainder of the line, strike all of lines 23 through 25 and insert in lieu thereof:

"the following percent of the hospital's taxable gross receipts for the reporting period after all appropriate deductions have been taken:

A. for reporting periods beginning after July 1, 2001 but before July 1, 2002, one and sixty-four hundredths percent; and

B. for reporting periods beginning on or after July 1, 2002, three and two hundred seventy-five thousandths percent."".

3. On page 2, line 2, strike "2000" and insert in lieu thereof "2001".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS & FINANCE COMMITTEE.
