AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO SUPPORT A CHILDREN'S ANTI-SMOKING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM IN THE ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS CALLED THE TAR WARS PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six thousand dollars ($6,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to fund a children's anti-smoking educational program in the elementary schools, the tar wars program, that includes an anti-smoking poster contest. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
