MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR PUBLIC AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION ABOUT MULTIPLE CHEMICAL SENSITIVITY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-three thousand dollars ($53,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of providing statewide public and professional education on the prevention and treatment of multiple chemical sensitivity, related information and referral and of convening a committee to advise the department on multiple chemical sensitivity issues. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
