AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROMOTE HISPANO MUSIC THROUGHOUT THE STATE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract for services to promote Hispano entertainment statewide, including workshops, shows, concerts, scholarships and recognition of achievement in the fields of acting, dancing, music, comedy and the fine arts. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
