AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT FOR CULTURALLY COMPETENT PREVENTION, EDUCATION, OUTREACH AND TREATMENT SERVICES FOR INDIGENT, CHRONIC ALCOHOLICS AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE SAN JUAN COUNTY AREA.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract for culturally competent prevention, education, outreach and treatment services for indigent, chronic alcoholics and their families in northwestern San Juan county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
