AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO MARKET NEW MEXICO AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of the New Mexico department of agriculture conducting trade and retail assistance programs, consumer awareness campaigns, development of E-commerce for rural agricultural manufacturers, processors and growers and the New Mexico country store project to promote marketing and development of New Mexico-grown agricultural products and rural economic development. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
