AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE GOVERNOR'S COMMITTEE ON CONCERNS OF THE HANDICAPPED TO ASSIST HANDICAPPED PERSONS SEEKING TO BECOME HOMEOWNERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the governor's committee on concerns of the handicapped for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of contracting for technical services to assist handicapped persons seeking to become homeowners. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
