AN ACT

RELATING TO STATE PARKS; PROVIDING FOR AN ANNUAL STATE PARK PASS FOR NEW MEXICO RESIDENTS; PRESCRIBING A FEE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. STATE PARK ANNUAL PASS.--

A. The state parks division of the energy, minerals and natural resources department shall sell an annual state park pass to residents of the state that may be used for day use or camping at state parks and recreation areas. The state park pass is valid from January 1 through December 31 of a given year. The state park pass entitles the bearer to admission to all state parks and recreation areas. The state park pass may be used for a maximum of fourteen days of camping in a single park or recreation area at any one time. On the face of the state park pass shall be written: "This pass is made possible by an act of the New Mexico Legislature.".

B. The fee for the state park pass is one hundred dollars ($100).
