AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH THE SOUTHWEST AND BORDER CULTURES INSTITUTE AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred fifty thousand dollars ($450,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to match federal money to establish the southwest and border cultures institute. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
