AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR AN ENTOMOLOGY AND NURSERY INDUSTRY INSPECTOR AT THE NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of the New Mexico department of agriculture hiring one full-time-equivalent entomology and nursery inspector and providing related expenses to respond to new infestations of pests in the nursery and agriculture industries. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
