Mr. President:

Your EDUCATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 4, strike lines 14 through 22 and insert the following new subsection:

"I. Each student attending a school alternative shall generate a funding amount equal to the amount that would be determined for the student through the state equalization guarantee distribution in the local school district, excluding any size or training and experience adjustments, plus an amount for transportation expenses as determined by the department. In no case shall the department distribute more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) to the school alternative for an individual student.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
