AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR IMPROVEMENTS IN THE PENASCO SOIL AND WATER CONSERVATION DISTRICT.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the irrigation works construction fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal years 2001 to 2003 to make infrastructure improvements in the Penasco soil and water conservation district in Chaves and Eddy counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2003 shall revert to the irrigation works construction fund.
