AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE OFFICE OF CULTURAL AFFAIRS TO CONTRACT FOR SERVICES FOR THE PURPOSE OF PRODUCING THE HISPANIC CULTURE FESTIVAL.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the office of cultural affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to contract for services with a New Mexico nonprofit organization for the purpose of producing the Hispanic culture festival, the premier festival that celebrates Hispanic culture and the contributions of New Mexico Hispanics. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
