AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A STATEWIDE TRADITIONAL FAMILY HEALTH EDUCATION PROGRAM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of supporting a statewide program to educate low-income families on traditional non-medical health care techniques, nutrition and home first aid, including publication and distribution of health handbooks and first aid kits. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
