AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO STUDY CONSUMPTION EFFICIENCIES OF DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to support the water resources research institute to study and report on efficiencies to be realized by reduction of beneficial consumptive use of water through implementation of drip irrigation systems. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
