AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR HOUSING REMODELING TO PREVENT CONTINUED SPREAD OF HANTAVIRUS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for the purpose of contracting for a remodeling program to rodent-proof residences to prevent the spread of hantavirus. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
