AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR QUARTERLY STRATEGIC SUMMITS TO PERMIT THE STATE AND TRIBES A FORUM TO ADDRESS AND DEVELOP SOLUTIONS TO ISSUES OF MUTUAL CONCERN.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 for quarterly strategic summits to provide the state and tribes with a forum to address and develop solutions to issues of mutual concern. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
