MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR OPERATIONS OF A PUBLIC DEFENDER DEPARTMENT SATELLITE OFFICE IN TAOS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred ninety-one thousand seven hundred dollars ($291,700) is appropriated from the general fund to the public defender department for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to fund operations of a public defender department satellite office in Taos in Taos county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.
