Mr. President:

Your CORPORATIONS & TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO NOT PASS, but that

SENATE CORPORATIONS & TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR SENATE BILL 475

DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 13, after "1978" insert "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".

2. On page 1, line 22, strike "belonging to the" and insert in lieu thereof "that may be" and after "state" insert "trust lands".

3. On page 2, after line 16 insert the following new section to read:

"Section 3. APPROPRIATION.--Forty thousand dollars ($40,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state land office for expenditure in fiscal year 2001 to pay costs associated with eminent domain proceedings pursuant to provisions in Chapter 42A, Article 2 NMSA 1978. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2001 shall revert to the general fund.",

and further recommends that it now be referred to the COMMITTEES' COMMITTEE.
