44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL PROJECTS IN HOUSE DISTRICT 39 FOR THE CITY OF BAYARD IN GRANT

COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the department of environment

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to design and construct phase 1 of a new wastewater treatment and disposal facility for the city of Bayard, village of Santa Clara and Fort Bayard state hospital in Grant county;

to the state highway and transportation department

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to rehabilitate residential streets in the city of Bayard in Grant county; and

two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars ($275,000) to plan, design and construct a street extension to Stewart street in Bayard in Grant county;

to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to design, construct and equip a shelter, restroom facilities, parking and a playground for the Bayard community park in Grant county; and

to the state department of public education

one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) to purchase and install a double-wide portable at Bayard elementary school in the Cobre consolidated school district in Grant county.
