STATE OF NEW MEXICO

44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR SENIOR CITIZEN FACILITY CONSTRUCTION, IMPROVEMENTS, EQUIPMENT AND

VEHICLES THROUGHOUT THE STATE.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state agency on aging

one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to senior centers and programs throughout the state to complete construction and improvement projects;

nine hundred twenty thousand dollars ($920,000) to make improvements and modifications to senior centers throughout the state in order to comply with applicable codes;

two million dollars ($2,000,000) to purchase vehicles for senior centers throughout the state;

three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) for renovations and improvements to senior centers throughout the state;

seven hundred thousand dollars ($700,000) to senior nutrition programs for the purpose of purchasing kitchen and related meal site equipment and furniture for nutrition programs located throughout the state; and

one hundred twenty thousand dollars ($120,000) to purchase equipment for senior citizen facilities throughout the state.
