FOR INFRASTRUCTURE RENOVATION AND EXPANSION AT HIGHER EDUCATION

INSTITUTIONS AND CONSTITUTIONAL SPECIAL SCHOOLS STATEWIDE.

I request that the following capital outlay project be funded:

to the commission on higher education

three million two hundred thousand dollars ($3,200,000) to plan, design and construct a student services building at the New Mexico institute of mining and technology in Socorro in Socorro county;

two million eight hundred thousand dollars ($2,800,000) for Cramer and Weir hall renovations at the New Mexico institute of mining and technology in Socorro in Socorro county;

three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) for information technology at western New Mexico university in Silver City in Grant county;

one million four hundred thousand dollars ($1,400,000) for renovations to Sechlar hall at western New Mexico university in Silver City in Grant county;

one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to plan, design and construct a border area satellite for New Mexico state university in Las Cruces in Dona Ana county;

nine million dollars ($9,000,000) to plan, design and construct an architecture and planning building at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

eight million dollars ($8,000,000) for a science and technology building at New Mexico highlands university in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;

eight million dollars ($8,000,000) to plan, design and construct a health and social services building at New Mexico state university in Las Cruces in Dona Ana county;

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to plan and design an education building for the health sciences center at the university of New Mexico's north campus medical center in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county;

eight hundred thirty-six thousand dollars ($836,000) for infrastructure improvements, including necessary replacements and expansions of aging centralized systems, at Luna vocational-technical institute in Las Vegas in San Miguel county;

seven million two hundred thousand dollars ($7,200,000) for educational television digital equipment at higher education institutions and constitutional special schools statewide;

one million dollars ($1,000,000) for phase 2 construction to the education center at the university of New Mexico in Taos in Taos county;

five million dollars ($5,000,000) for expansion of the library and student center at San Juan college in Farmington in San Juan county;

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to renovate Lea hall at New Mexico military institute in Roswell in Chaves county;

two million dollars ($2,000,000) to purchase patient care equipment for the health sciences center at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernallillo county;

eight hundred fifty thousand dollars ($850,000) to make health safety and accessibility improvements at the New Mexico school for the deaf in Santa Fe in Santa Fe county;

thirteen million three hundred thirty-four thousand three hundred seventy dollars ($13,334,370) for information technology at higher education institutions and constitutional special schools statewide;

two million dollars ($2,000,000) for health and safety requirements and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 at higher education institutions and constitutional

special schools statewide; and

one million three hundred ten thousand dollars ($1,310,000) for infrastructure improvements, including necessary replacements and expansions of aging centralized systems, at the university of New Mexico in Albuquerque in Bernalillo county.
