44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR HIGHER EDUCATION CAPITAL PROJECTS THROUGHOUT THE STATE'S INSTITUTIONS.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the board of regents of New Mexico highlands university

four million dollars ($4,000,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a science and technology building at the campus of New Mexico highlands university in San Miguel county;

to the board of regents of New Mexico institute of mining and technology

two million eight hundred thousand dollars ($2,800,000) to renovate, equip and make improvements to Cramer and Weir halls on the main campus of New Mexico institute of mining and technology in Socorro county;

to the board of regents of New Mexico military institute

three million dollars ($3,000,000) to plan, design, equip, renovate and make improvements to Lea hall on the campus of the New Mexico military institute in Chaves county;

to the board of regents of New Mexico school for the deaf

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) to plan, design, renovate and make improvements to the site and various buildings on the main campus of New Mexico school for the deaf in Santa Fe county;

to the board of regents of New Mexico state university

one million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) to plan, design, construct and equip phase 2 of the border satellite campus of New Mexico state university in Dona Ana county; and

six million eight hundred thousand dollars ($6,800,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a health and social services building at the main campus of New Mexico state university in Dona Ana county;

to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico

eight million dollars ($8,000,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a new architecture and planning building at the main campus of the university of New Mexico in Bernalillo county;

one million three hundred ten thousand dollars ($1,310,000) to furnish and equip a manufacturing

training and technology center cleanroom at the main campus of the university of New Mexico in Bernalillo county; and

two million dollars ($2,000,000) to purchase patient care equipment for the university of New Mexico health sciences center in Bernalillo county; and

to the board of regents of western New Mexico university

three hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($325,000) to plan, design, construct and equip a center for information technology on the main campus of western New Mexico university in Grant county; and

one million four hundred thousand dollars ($1,400,000) to plan, design, renovate, equip and make improvements to Sechlar hall on the campus of western New Mexico university in Grant county.
