44TH LEGISLATURE - SECOND SESSION - 2000

REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE GADSDEN INDEPENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT IN

DONA ANA COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

to the state department of public education

two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to renovate the kitchen and cafeteria at Chaparral elementary school in the Gadsden independent school district in Dona Ana county;

one hundred thirty-five thousand dollars ($135,000) to landscape and purchase and install playground equipment at Berino elementary school in the Gadsden independent school district in Dona Ana county;

seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) to renovate the parent center at Mesquite elementary school in the Gadsden independent school district in Dona Ana county;

one hundred twenty-nine thousand dollars ($129,000) to purchase equipment at Chaparral middle school in the Gadsden independent school district in Dona Ana county; and

four hundred twenty thousand dollars ($420,000) to purchase playground equipment and a sprinkler system and to expand the computer laboratory at Desert View elementary school in the Gadsden independent school district in Dona Ana county.
