SUMMARY

Synopsis of Bill

Senate Bill 404 creates an additional punishment for a person convicted of first degree criminal sexual penetration, requiring treatment of the offender with medroxyprogesterone acetate. Administration of the drug is to be monitored by the Corrections Department. The bill provides that offenders may request physical castration as an alternative to the drug treatment.
