Dear President Pro Tempore Romero:

Pursuant to Article IV, Section 42 of the New Mexico Constitution, I hereby submit to the Senate Rules Committee the following appointments:

1. Roger Gonzales for appointment to the Board of Regents of New Mexico Highlands University for a term commencing at confirmation and expiring December 31, 2002.

2. Alfred M. Perez for appointment to the Board of Directors of the National Hispanic Cultural Center for a term commencing at confirmation and expiring September 1, 2004.

3. T. Glenn Ellington for appointment as Secretary of the Department of Taxation and Revenue for a term commencing January 9, 2001 and to be served at the pleasure of the Governor.

4. Patrick B. Milligan for appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Trust Fund for a term commencing at confirmation and expiring July 1, 2001.

5. Maxine J. Cowton for appointment to the Board of Trustees of the Children’s Trust Fund for a term commencing January 26, 2001 and expiring July 1, 2002.

6. Thomas M. Brennan for appointment to the Economic Development Commission for a term commencing January 26, 2001 and expiring January 1, 2002.
