AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR SERVICES FOR PERSONS WITH END-STAGE RENAL DISEASE.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ninety-six thousand dollars ($96,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of providing medication and transportation assistance for end-stage renal disease dialysis patients, up to a maximum of three hundred dollars ($300) per patient per year. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
