Your AGRICULTURE AND WATER RESOURCES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 127

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 3, after "evidence" insert "as defined by the commission".

2. On page 6, line 8, strike "and".

3. On page 6, line 14, strike the period and closing quotation mark and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

4. On page 6, after line 14, insert the following new subsection to read:

"M. shall, using credible scientific evidence, identify those waters of the state for which the effluent limitations required by Sections 301(b)(1)(A) and 301(b)(1)(B) of the federal Clean Water Act are not stringent enough to implement any water quality standard applicable to the waters and shall establish a priority ranking for the waters, taking into account the severity of the pollution and the uses to be made of those waters."".,

and thence referred to the ENERGY AND NATURAL RESOURCES COMMITTEE.
