MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE SECOND JUDICIAL DISTRICT COURT TO PROVIDE FOR AN ADDITIONAL HEARING OFFICER AND LEGAL ASSISTANT FOR THE CHILDREN'S COURT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred forty-six thousand eight hundred dollars ($146,800) is appropriated from the general fund to the second judicial district court for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide salaries and benefits and furniture, supplies and equipment for one additional hearing officer and one additional legal assistant for the children's court. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
