MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO SUPPORT THE COLLABORATION AMONG NEW MEXICO, THE UNITED STATES, MEXIC0 AND SPAIN ON ARTISTIC INITIATIVES; FUNDING THE TOURING EXHIBITION OF EL FAVOR DE LOS SANTOS, THE RETABLO COLLECTION OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY; SUPPORTING THE CONSERVATION AND CATALOGING OF THE COLLECTION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to support the collaboration among New Mexico, the United States, Mexico and Spain on artistic initiatives and the touring exhibition of El Favor de Los Santos, the retablo collection of New Mexico state university, and to support the conservation and cataloging of the collection. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
