Mr. Speaker:

Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 280

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 1, line 19, after "in" strike the remainder of the line and on line 20 strike "Finance Act" and insert in lieu thereof "Subsection C of this section".

2. On page 2, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following subsection:

"C. The provisions of this section do not apply to:

(1) retail installment contracts entered into pursuant to the Motor Vehicle Sales Finance Act; or

(2) loans made by a national bank, state bank, savings and loan association or credit union.".

3. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.

4. On page 3, line 22 through page 5, line 4, strike Sections 4 and 5 in their entirety.
