has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO NOT PASS, but that



HOUSE APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 300



DO PASS, amended as follows:



1. On page 1, lines 13 and 14, strike "; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION".



2. On page 2, strike Section 2 in its entirety.



3. On page 2, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following new section:



"Section 2. MEDICARE PRESCRIPTION BENEFIT--REVIEW.--If federal legislation providing an outpatient prescription drug benefit for the medicare program under Title 18 of the federal Social Security Act is enacted by the one hundred seventh or the one hundred eight congress and becomes law, the legislative finance committee and the interim legislative health and human service committee shall consider the advisability of continuing the special prescription drug assistance program under the state's medicaid program for certain persons sixty-five and older.".

4. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.
