AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A PUBLIC INFORMATION CAMPAIGN TARGETED AT TEENAGERS APPRISING THEM OF THE CONSEQUENCES OF TEEN PREGNANCY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide for a public information campaign targeted at teenagers, apprising them of the consequences that teen pregnancy has on their future success as adults in careers, finances and families. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
