MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC EDUCATION TO CONTRACT FOR STATEWIDE SERVICES TO ASSIST PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE STATE BOARD OF EDUCATION'S PEST MANAGEMENT RULES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract for statewide services to assist public schools in the implementation of the state board of education's rules for pest management. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
