AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE AGENCY ON AGING FOR DEVELOPMENT OF A STATEWIDE INFORMATION AND ACCESS SYSTEM FOR OLDER ADULTS AND THEIR FAMILIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred fifty thousand dollars ($350,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state agency on aging for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for contract services to develop and manage a comprehensive statewide database of information designed to facilitate access to available resources and services for older adults and their families, provide guidance and assistance to older adults and their families in the selection of resources to meet health, residential, financial, social service and other needs and collect and analyze data for use by the state agency on aging and service providers for planning purposes. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
