AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR ALCOHOL AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE TREATMENT IN NORTHERN NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four million dollars ($4,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of providing alcohol and substance abuse intensive intervention and treatment in Rio Arriba and Santa Fe counties. Of this appropriation, two million dollars ($2,000,000) shall be expended for programs for adults and two million dollars ($2,000,000) shall be expended for programs for early intervention and treatment for at-risk children and adolescents. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
