AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONDUCT A FEASIBILITY STUDY TO DETERMINE THE NEED FOR A VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL TO SERVE GRANT AND HIDALGO COUNTIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state department of public education for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to fund a feasibility study to determine if there is need in the Silver and Cobre consolidated school districts and the Lordsburg school district for a vocational high school to serve Grant and Hidalgo counties. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
