AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT TO PROVIDE TELECOMMUNICATIONS ASSESSMENT, PLANNING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOR THE EIGHT NORTHERN INDIAN PUEBLOS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract to provide telecommunications assessment, planning and technical assistance for the eight northern Indian pueblos and surrounding communities. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
