AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND A ONE-STOP YOUTH CAREER CENTER TO PROVIDE EMPLOYABILITY TRAINING AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY CERTIFICATION IN THE WEST LAS VEGAS CITY SCHOOLS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:



Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the labor department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract for assistance for the West Las Vegas school district to establish a one-stop youth career center that will provide career and post-secondary educational information, work permits, career preparation workshops and industry-recognized information technology training to prepare students for information technology jobs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
