AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ENCOURAGE TOURISM BY AIDING IN PROMOTIONAL CAMPAIGNS FOR HIGH PROFILE NATIVE AMERICAN EVENTS IN NEW MEXICO.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to encourage tourism by funding promotional campaigns for the intertribal ceremonial, the gathering of nations, the Indian national finals rodeo and the Indian market. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
