AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE OPERATING FUNDS FOR AN AMBULANCE SERVICE IN THE VILLAGE OF PECOS IN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal years 2001 and 2002 for the purpose of providing funds for the operation of an ambulance service in the village of Pecos in San Miguel county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
