AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE TOURISM DEPARTMENT TO PROMOTE THE INTERNATIONAL CELEBRATION OF HISTORIC ROUTE 66'S SEVENTY-FIFTH ANNIVERSARY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the tourism department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to promote the international celebration of historic route 66's seventy-fifth anniversary, "Remember the Route" to be held in Albuquerque in 2001. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
