AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT FOR A STUDY OF ONE-STOP SHOPPING BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS IN OTHER STATES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to contract for a study of one-stop shopping business development programs in other states. The contractor shall produce a written report of its findings, including specific recommendations regarding development and improvement of a one-stop shopping business development program in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
