Your APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred



HOUSE BILL 839, as amended



has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:



1. Strike House Consumer and Public Affairs Committee Amendment 8.



2. On page 3, line 24, after "behavioral" insert ", optometric".



3. On page 11, after line 25, insert the following new section:



"Section 6. A new section of the Health Service Corps Act is enacted to read:



"[NEW MATERIAL] HEALTH SERVICE CORPS FUND CREATED.--The "health service corps fund" is created in the state treasury. The fund shall consist of appropriations, gifts, grants, donations, earnings on investment of the fund and other money credited to the fund. The fund shall be administered by the department, and the money in the fund is subject to appropriation by the legislature to the department to carry out the purposes of the Health Service Corps Act. Money in the fund shall not revert at the end of a fiscal year but shall remain in the fund. The department may expend no more than ten percent of the money in the fund to administer that act."".
