Mr. Speaker:

Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 902

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 3, line 18, remove the brackets and line through "and".

2. On page 3, lines 19 through 25, strike Paragraph 15 in its entirety.

3. Renumber the succeeding paragraph accordingly.

4. On page 4, between lines 3 and 4, insert the following new subsection:

"C. The records described in Subsection A of this section that are in the possession of the court shall be open to inspection by accredited representatives of the news media, subject to the condition that they refrain from divulging information that would identify a child involved in the proceedings or the parent, guardian, custodian or other relative of the child and subject to enabling regulations as the court finds necessary for the maintenance of order and decorum and for the furtherance of the purposes of the Children's Code.".

5. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
