AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE ENHANCED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR YOUTH IN CERTAIN CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FACILITIES.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 for the purpose of providing enhanced mental health and psychological services, including additional diagnostic testing, counseling and other mental health services to youths detained at the youth diagnostic and development center and the Camino Nuevo youth center in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
