AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE DEVELOPMENT DISABILITIES SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS NOT ELIGIBLE DUE TO LACK OF FUNDING AND TO PROVIDE A RATE INCREASE FOR DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES SERVICE PROVIDERS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

A. Nine million dollars ($9,000,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 in the following amounts for the following purposes:

(1) six million dollars ($6,000,000) to provide developmental disabilities services to individuals not being served due to lack of sufficient appropriations; and

(2) three million dollars ($3,000,000) to provide increased reimbursement rates for developmental disabilities service providers.

B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
