AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO IMPLEMENT ACCESSIBILITY SERVICES TO UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO STUDENTS WHO ARE DISABLED AND TO FULLY COMPLY WITH THE MANDATES OF THE AMERICANS WITH DISABILITIES ACT OF 1990 AND SECTION 504 OF THE REHABILITATION ACT OF 1973.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred forty-four thousand dollars ($244,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to implement accessibility services to university of New Mexico students with disabilities and to fully comply with the mandates of the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990 and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
