AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE A PEER MENTORING PROGRAM FOR INCOMING AND TRANSFERRING AFRICAN-AMERICAN STUDENTS.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000) is appropriated to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to provide a peer mentoring program for incoming and transferring African-American students. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
