AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO IDENTIFY AND TREAT GROUND WATER CONTAMINATION IN ROSWELL.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million four hundred thousand dollars ($1,400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of environment for expenditure in fiscal year 2002 to identify and treat the source area for ground water contamination in south Roswell near the intersection of McGaffen and Main streets. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2002 shall revert to the general fund.
